Hammer & Rattle Return & Exchange Policy

We totally understand—sometimes things just don’t work out! That’s why we’re happy to offer returns and exchanges on eligible items. If your purchase was made directly from Hammer-Rattle.com, rest assured that you have up to 30 days to send your item(s) back to us, as long as they’re in their original condition.
What can I return?
We accept returns on items that:
- Are returned within 30 days of delivery (for online orders) or purchase (for in-person purchases).
- Are unworn, unused, unwashed, with tags and returned in the same condition you received them.
- Pass inspection upon return (damaged or unsuitable items won’t be refunded).
Exceptions to Our Return Policy
For hygiene and customization reasons, the following items cannot be returned:
- Underwear and swimwear.
- Bottles and other drinkware.
- Personalized items.
- Socks, unless they remain sealed in their original packaging.
Additionally, in the US and Canada, items marked as ‘Final Sale’—those with a final discount of 35% or more—are not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or store credit. These items will be clearly labeled as ‘Final Sale’ during checkout.
How to Ensure a Full Refund
To receive a full refund:
- Make sure your item(s) meet all the return conditions listed above.
- Any items returned in a damaged, worn, or unsuitable condition will not be eligible for a refund. All returned items are thoroughly inspected.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
When Will I Get My Refund?
Refund timing depends on how long it takes for your chosen returns courier to deliver the items back to us and for our facilities to process your return.
- Refunds are typically processed within 14 days from the date your return is received at one of our facilities.
- Once processed, it can take up to an additional 15 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
Helpful Tip: Hold on to your return postage receipts! We may need to see them if there’s a query about your return.
Refunds will always be issued to the original payment method used to place the order. If a gift card was used for part or all of the purchase, the refund will be applied to the gift card first.
Can I Combine Multiple Returns into One Package?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to process combined returns. Each order’s return must be sent separately, and returns from the same order that are registered separately must also be packaged individually.
Why? Combining returns into one package may cause errors in processing and delay your refund.
If you’ve already sent multiple returns in one package, please let us know so we can investigate and ensure everything is sorted. Remember to keep your proof of postage receipts handy in case we need them.
Do You Offer Exchanges?
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Exchanges may be available upon request depending on the type and condition of the item. For questions or assistance with an exchange request, feel free to reach out to our Hammer & Rattle team.
Please note:
- Your exchange item won’t be shipped until the returned item is scanned at our warehouse.
- We’re unable to pre-reserve exchange items.
- If we cannot process your exchange for any reason, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method. Refunds may take up to 15 business days to appear in your account once processed.

Return Shipping Cost
Customers are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping unless an item is faulty or incorrect. We do not provide prepaid return labels or reimburse return shipping expenses. To ensure a smooth return process, please use a trackable shipping service and retain your shipping receipt as proof of return. We are not responsible for lost or undelivered return shipments.
Exception for Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, Hammer & Rattle may issue a store credit for the shipping cost or provide a return shipping label at no charge. Store credits for shipping costs will only be offered if the return meets the previously described requirements for a faulty or incorrect item.
